Laser Treatment

We are proud to offer Laser Dentistry at Old Hook Dental.

The soft-tissue laser is a state-of-the-art tool that creates a predictable, esthetic result during dental procedures. The laser delivers energy in the form of light that will cut, sterilize and cauterize the treatment area all at once with virtually no pain or bleeding. This high tech equipment has uses in almost every aspect of dentistry.

  • Oral Surgery, lasers can make incisions or remove tissue that is virtually pain free with no bleeding.
  • Restorative, cosmetic uses such as gingival (gum) sculpting, implant uncovering or for impression taking.
  • Endodontics, aids in eliminating bacteria inside root canals, disinfecting it.
  • Periodontics, kills bacteria and diseased tissue to reduce pocket depth and promote healthy tissue growth.
  • Orthodontics, used for the surgical exposure of un-erupted teeth.
  • Other, useful applications of the dental laser include treatment of Cold and Canker Sore outbreaks.

The relative lack of pain, bleeding, ease of use and procedure specificity of the laser make it an ideal solution for many types of dental therapy. Laser technology use minimizes damage of surrounding tissue by using pinpoint accuracy for faster healing times with little to no anesthesia required.
